Consulting

Implementation. On your machines, with your files.

I come to your office, or we share a screen, and we set up AI in your practice the way I set it up in mine. You keep a written record of everything we did. From $2,500+.

On-site in New JerseyRemote, anywhere

One thing before anything else: hiring me to set up AI in your firm is not hiring me as your lawyer. The consulting is a separate business from my law practice, and the two do not share files.

When lawyers call

Four situations, most of the time.

None of these is a failure. Each one is the moment a written policy and a supervised workflow stop being optional.

You already use AI and nothing is written down.

ChatGPT is open in a tab, the engagement letter says nothing, and you would rather fix that before a client or a court asks.

A client asked whether you use AI.

You want a true answer, a disclosure that fits your practice, and a way to show the work was checked.

One task is eating your week.

Intake summaries, routine correspondence, a reconciliation, a first draft that always starts from zero. A supervised workflow would give the week back.

You got burned once.

A citation that did not exist, a tool whose terms you never read, a staff member who pasted something they should not have. You want the setup done right this time.

What you keep

The shop manual.

Most consulting leaves a slide deck. This leaves a binder, in the sense a mechanic means it: the record of exactly how your firm is set up and how to put it back.

Setup

Accounts, settings, permissions, and integrations configured for your firm and tested on sample matters, then on a live file with your lawyer at the keyboard.

Screenshots of everything

Every configuration captured so you, or the next person, can see exactly how it was set and put it back if it drifts.

Filed vendor terms

The terms of service, privacy, and data-processing terms for every tool, saved to your file on the day they applied.

Your policy, adapted

The one-page AI Use Policy fitted to your practice areas, your staff, and the tools you actually use.

A verification checklist per workflow

What gets checked, against what source, by whom, before anything leaves the firm.

How it goes

Five steps, no surprises.

  1. 1

    Inquiry

Use the form below. Tell me your practice areas, headcount, and what you want AI to take off your desk.

  2. 2

    Scoping call

Thirty minutes. We confirm fit, scope, and price before anything is signed.

  3. 3

    Consulting agreement

A written agreement for consulting services. No retainer, no trust deposit, no legal engagement.

  4. 4

    Implementation

On-site or remote. We set it up together on your machines. Sample data first; your lawyer runs the first live matter through it while I watch.

  5. 5

    The shop manual

You get the written record: setup, screenshots, filed terms, your policy, and the checklists.

How I work

Direct, on-site, and written down.

01

You work with me.

No team behind me, no associate learning your firm on your time. The person who reads your vendor terms is the person who signed your shop manual.

02

On your machines, with your files.

Nothing is set up on a demo account and handed over. We build it where you will use it, prove it on sample data, and then your lawyer runs a live matter through it while I watch. I keep nothing.

03

Fixed scope, written record.

A scoping call sets what we will do and what it costs before anything is signed. Everything we touch is captured in the shop manual.

04

A lawyer first.

I run my own files under the same rules you do. The setup is built to survive a trust-account audit, an ethics inquiry, and a bad day. Built in New Jersey; the method travels, because supervision is the same job in every state and a vendor's terms do not care where you are admitted.

Client files stay yours.

  • Setup and testing run on sample or redacted data your firm supplies. My consulting agreement carries a confidentiality clause, so your reasonable-care obligation under RPC 1.6 is covered in writing.
  • The first live matter goes through the finished workflow with your lawyer at the keyboard and me watching. The file never leaves your machine and I keep no copy.
  • I take no custody of client files and I do not work on a matter from the other side of my own practice. The shop manual holds screenshots of configuration, never client content.

A good fit

  • A solo or small firm that already uses AI informally and wants it done right
  • A firm that has been told to "get a policy" and does not know where to start
  • A lawyer who would rather pay for a day of setup than a year of wondering

Not a fit

  • Anyone looking for legal advice about their own practice or a client matter
  • A firm that wants a vendor to run its AI for it with nobody inside checking
  • Anything that requires me to take custody of client files, or to work on a matter from the other side of my own practice

What this is not

  • Consulting services only. Elias Advisory, LLC provides consulting and training to lawyers and law firms. It is not a law firm and does not practice law.
  • Not legal advice. Nothing on this site, in a training, or in a consulting engagement is legal advice. You remain responsible for your own compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct in your jurisdiction.
  • No attorney-client relationship. Engaging Elias Advisory, LLC, joining the community, or contacting Adam through this site does not create an attorney-client relationship with Adam or with his law practice.
  • No privilege. Communications with the consulting business are not protected by the attorney-client privilege or the work-product doctrine. Do not send client confidences.
  • No retainers. No trust deposits. Consulting fees are consulting fees. Elias Advisory, LLC does not accept retainers, does not hold funds in trust, and does not use an attorney trust account for any part of this business.
  • Separate from the law practice. Adam's law practice is a separate business with its own website, engagement letters, and files. It is not part of this site or of any consulting engagement.

Inquire

Tell me about the practice.

Practice areas, how many people, what you already use, and what you want off your desk. I reply within one business day with whether it is a fit and what it would cost.
