You are the lawyer, the paralegal, the bookkeeper, and the IT department.
You cannot afford a tool that creates more review work than it removes.
You will answer for every word that goes out under your name.

I run a New Jersey probate practice with no paralegal. Everything on this site was built because I needed it on a Tuesday.

The thesis

Supervision is the whole job.

The rules of professional conduct never cared who typed the first draft. They care who checked it and who signed it. AI changes the first part and leaves the second part exactly where it was: on you.

01

Delegate

Hand the machine a defined task with the sources it may use and the format you want back. The way you would brief a new associate, minus the assumption that it knows anything.

02

Verify

Open every citation. Read the actual source. Check every number, date, and name against the file. A confident paragraph is not evidence.

03

Ratify

Sign your name to it and note what you checked. If you cannot stand behind the output, it does not leave your office. That is the whole job.

My written verification method, The Ratify Protocol, is what the training is built on. It is referenced throughout the site and taught in full inside the ladder.

I do not recommend a tool I have not run on my own files, and I do not teach a workflow I do not use on a Tuesday.

Ways to work with me

Pick the amount of help you actually need.

01

Training

A ladder that starts free: the one-page policy, express sessions, a guided challenge, the full twelve-module course, and a small mastermind.

02

Speaking

Plain-spoken sessions for county and specialty bar associations on supervising AI in a small practice. Next: NJSBA, October 29, 2026, the panel "The Rules Still Apply: Legal Ethics in the Age of AI" with a sitting federal bankruptcy judge.

Implementation

Hands-on setup, on-site or remote, from $2,500+. You keep a written shop manual. Consulting only, never legal advice.

How it works

Implementation is a consulting service, separate from my law practice. It delivers 5 things in writing, the shop manual, so the setup survives the day I leave.

Start with the policy.

A one-page policy you can adopt this week. It sets the rules for which tools your firm uses, what never goes into them, who verifies what, and how you document it. It is the first thing I ask every firm for, and almost nobody has one.
